The work of school counselors is complex and demanding, we are here to help.

The American School Counselor Association recommends a 250-to-1 ratio of students to school counselors in order to provide adequate academic, career, and mental health support. However, in a 2023 study they produced, they learned that the national average was 385 to 1, with some states being as high as 500 to 1, making it extremely difficult for students to receive the support they need.

School counselors must deal with large caseloads, increasing student mental health crises, limited resources, and personal fatigue, all while trying to offer support to their students. Helping a student plan for college is not always something they have the capacity for, and advising companies like Northbridge can relieve some of that burden.

We all share the same goal, and that is to provide vital services to our students to help them get to and through college.
